The mission of the CRL is study of the stroke rehabilitation, fall and musculoskeletal injury prevention in healthy and clinical young/elderly adult populations by Rehabilitative and assistive technology.
Our tools and equipments can help people with disabilities successfully complete activities after injury or illness. Rehabilitative engineering research includes studying barriers and designing solutions so that people with disabilities can interact successfully in their environments. The long-term hope is that these devices and methods could be less expensive and safe enough for therapy
Our lab team aims at achieving those goals by gaining a thorough understanding of the biomechanical and postural control principles that govern human movement, balance during standing/walking, and performance of occupational tasks.
